BFA Thesis Fall 2017

In late September of 2017, I began my final year at Western Oregon University.  I developed my thesis and started what was initially to be a long term project.  The project has since changed but the underlying meaning of it still remains.  I wanted to explore fetish communities through technical illustration.  These communities are not always what they are perceived to be.  For instance, the bondage rope community does have strong ties to it’s sexual side but there is another side to it, that being tying a persons body to ground it and allow more focus.  The tightness of the rope is a tool rather than just a sexual fascination.   I started the year with a focus in the rope tying community and these are the fruits of my labor.  These will eventually be updated with the final photos.
